Private Teaching

Whether you are looking to take your yoga practice to the next level, work with an injury, establish specific goals and fulfil them, go deeper into the aspects of meditation, nutrition or lifestyle, or simply want to refine that downward-facing dog, private instruction is the way to go for a grounded, steady and rapid progress in your practice.

Did you know that in the old days yoga was only taught one on one?

The reason behind this is that to go truly deeper into the aspects of yoga, the teacher must be there 100% for you. My teacher, Aadil Palkhivala, practised one-on-one with his Guruji BKS Iyengar for decades, and through this fantastic way of teaching, he could receive in-depth knowledge that would otherwise be almost impossible to get in a drop-in regular class. Regular classes build the foundation, get you to learn the basics and also give you the amazing feeling of practising with a committed group. However, in order to make the practice 100% yours, the total attention of your teacher is an invaluable opportunity that could even in one class move your progress way beyond what you could expect.

In a private setting, these are some of the benefits you will get:

  • In case you are a total beginner, build a basic foundation in asana so that you are able to join weekly classes.

  • Total attention from your teacher into those aspects that you truly want to work on.

  • Being able to express your questions and intentions, so that the practice can be truly customised to fit your needs.

  • Work specifically in areas of the body, to either open them, strengthen them or therapeutically heal it.

  • Learn specific meditation techniques that will address topics that reach beyond the physical level through Heartfull Meditation.

  • Receive personalised guidance and coaching in order to address all aspects of your life, i.e. diet, nutrition, lifestyle changes, etc.

“I have been Gabriel’s student for over a year, during which time he has become not only my teacher but a very good friend. I am a really energetic, restless person so previously things like stretching or meditation would have been very challenging for me. With patience and consideration, Gabriel showed me how both of those things could improve my physical and mental wellbeing. I have never been more flexible and strong, nor calm and focused, than I am now - which helps me not only in class but in my everyday life. Gabriel is one of the kindest people I know, and his knowledge of yoga and interest in developing himself as a teacher and a person is contagious. He has enabled me to find within myself qualities I didn’t know existed.”
